Not what I thought it was by the description, thought that the silver was died and would not have a problem wearing it in the shower or getting it cleaned, we'll my ring is no longer black and i had to have it polished and was told it's not even pure silver. Learn from your mistakes.

I'm sorry to see your comment. What I need to clarify is that the ring is 100% sterling silver. However, since the surface of the ring is black plated, it may cause interference with the test results and might not be detected as sterling silver. I suggest you have it tested at an authoritative testing institution. Apart from the black plated surface, the rest of the ring is definitely sterling silver. Since it is black plated (like yellow plated or rose plated) instead of solid silver, it will fade over time with wearing. And if it frequently comes into contact with soaps, cosmetics, etc. from chemical substances, it will accelerate the fading process. I thought you were already familiar with plated silver before making the purchase.
